Scott Dixon has relocated to the training barns at Southwell Racecourse.

At the first Southwell meeting since he made the move he made an immediate impression when Break The Silence won the first race on the card. Less than two hours later things got even better with a victory by Crosse Fire. What a great start.

2019 Another great year

Enable

John Gosdens Enable continued her imperious march towards a record breaking third Arc.

She has won the Eclipse, the King George and the Yorkshire Oaks in great style.

Stradivarius has put in some stunning performances winning the one million bonus for the second year running. He has won the Yorkshire Cup, Ascot Gold Cup, Goodwood Cup, and carried on his long unbeaten run with victory in the Lonsdale Cup at York’s Ebor meeting.

What a magnificent last few months for John Gosden and Clarehaven .

Stable star Enable was truly brilliant when winning back to back Arc’s and then going to Churchill Downs where she battled to win the Breeders Cup Turf.

Stradivarius maintained his unbeaten run with a win on Champions day bringing his tally for the year to five Group 1 and 2 races.

Roaring Lion with 4 group one races was named Cartier horse of the year.

Royal Line stormed to victory in the last big handicap of the year the November at Doncaster.

Our other customers also had great success in the second half of the season.

At Churchill Downs Sir Michael Stoute’s Expert Eye won the Breeders Cup Mile and became only the second British trained winner to do so.

Somerville Lodge and William Haggas’s team continued their great season on Arc day, when Sea of Class was a gallant 2nd from a poor draw to Enable in the Arc.

Later that day One Master won the Group 1 Prix De la Foret at Longchamp.

James Fanshawe’s Pegasus Stables sent The Tin Man out to win Haydock’s most prestigious race The Sprint Cup in fine style.

Eurobale customers were among the winners throughout the year with John Gosden and Sir Michael Stoute amassing the most prize money of the English based trainers in the Trainers Championship.

Also in the top ten were William Haggas and Andrew Balding who both had well over 100 winners this year.

Royal Ascot 2018

Ostilio won an exciting Britannia to give Simon Crisford his first Royal Ascot success as a trainer.

In an exciting finish Tom Dascombe's Arthur Kitt ran on gamely to win the Chesham Stakes.

David Elsworth had success in the Duke Of Edinburgh when Dash of Spice ran out a convincing winner.

John Gosden had a wonderful meeting with Stradivarius winning the Gold Cup, Without Parole winning the St James's Palace, Monarchs Glen successful in the Wolferton and an impressive Calyx storming home in the Coventry.

Sir Michael Stoute also had an equally impressive time with success for Poets Word in the Prince of Wales, Expert Eye in the Jersey Stakes, Eqtidar in the Commonwealth Cup and Crystal Ocean in the Hardwicke.

Newmarket Cambridgeshire and Chantilly

Saturdays Cambridgeshire was notable for the hard fought victory of the Martyn Meade trained Dolphin Vista with his stablemate Chelsea Lad finishing a gallant fourth.

The stables Aclaim continued the fine run by winning the Group One Qatar Prix de La Foret at Chantilly on Arc Sunday.

 

John Gosdens Enable capped a marvellous season by running away with the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Chantilly.

Sir Michael Stoute's Ulysses stayed on well to be third.

More Classic success

John Gosden's stable continue to succeed at the highest level. Enable won the English, Irish, Cheshire and Yorkshire Oaks and is currently clear favourite for the Prix De la Arc de Triomphe.

Sir Michael Stoute trained Eagle Eye was an impressive winner at Newbury and even more so at Goodwood and is favourite for next years 2000 Guineas.
